Video of Simulations Praise for Learning IoT with Python and Raspberry Pi: "This impressive 760-page epic has been created by accomplished academics to provide a complete course that goes from your first line of code to creating real-life Internet of Things projects." --The MagPi Magazine Issue 90 February 2020, page 81.

BocaPhysics Mission:

Based in Boca Raton, Florida, BocaPhysics produces video lectures- available for free- that are geared towards undergraduate physics majors and undergraduate engineering majors. Our first project has been the production of video lectures covering all of the topics that are normally covered in a two-semester electromagnetism course. A suite of 3D simulations has also been developed to illustrate difficult concepts. More than sixty video lectures and simulations are now available on YouTube! With just a few standard lectures remaining to be posted, we are nearing completion of the BocaPhysics Series on Electromagnetism. This series will be concluded with lectures on the following special topics: the pinch effect, eddies, the Hall effect, electromagnetic compatibility, and electromagnetic pulses.

Overview of Electromagnetism Course:

In this first semester of electromagnetism, the following topics are covered: Coulomb's Law, the electric field, Gauss's Law, the electric potential, boundary conditions, work and energy, the behavior of conductors, the method of images, the solution of Laplace's equation using separation of variables, multipole expansion, Green's Reciprocation Theorem, polarization, the behavior of dielectrics, the electric displacement, "Gauss's Law for Dielectrics", boundary value problems in dielectrics, capacitors, the motion of a charged particle in a magnetic field, currents, the Biot-Savart Law, Ampere's Law, the vector potential, multipole expansion, and magnetic materials. In the second semester, the following topics are covered: Ohm's Law, motional emf, Faraday's Law, Maxwell's equations and the displacement current, the Poynting vector, Maxwell's stress tensor, momentum, angular momentum, plane waves, spherical waves, wave guides, potentials and fields, and antennas.

Future Projects:

Our future plans entail producing, and making available for free, video lectures on such special topics such as plasma physics, orbital mechanics, computational methods, and gyroscopes.
